Members rounded out the busy month of April with a trip to the Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Gardens in the Bronx, followed by a delicous lunch at Arthur Avenue’s Zero Otto Nove. We couldn’t leave without shopping for Italian bread, ravioli and pastries!

April has been our “focus on wellness” month! Members have been participating in walking groups to improve fitness. This week, members also enjoyed a relaxing and rejuvenating evening––totally surrounded by Himalayan salt at Salt of The Earth Salt Cave in Chestnut Ridge, New York.

A big thank you to all our members and those in our greater community who donated to our pre-Easter and Passover Food Drive to benefit The Center For Food Action and Emmanuel Cancer Center. We were able to donate over 30 large reusable grocery bags of food!

Stop by the USR Library this Saturday, April 9th! From 10am -1pm members wil be collecting non-perishable food for the Center for Food Action and Emmanuel Cancer Center. Donate and make a happy Easter or Passover for families in need! Together we can make a difference!

A the end of March, members enjoyed an evening learning about olive oils, tasting different varieties, and enjoying delicious snacks at Olive R Twist in Ridgewood.
