Book Club Night!

Great conversation, plenty of laughs, and delicious pizza made for a wonderful evening as our Woman’s Club Book Club gathered to discuss The Last Letter by Rebecca Yarros. It’s always special to come together, share perspectives, and enjoy the company of such an amazing group of women. Many thanks to Christine for hosting!

Happy Hour @ Flemings!

🥂 What a night at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse! 🥩

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Club Happy Hour. What a fun way to enjoy Dry (wine) January! 😆 Amazing venue, great company, and unforgettable vibes made it such a fun evening. Thanks to everyone who came out — we can’t wait to do it again!

About last night… ✨

Woman’s Club members kicked things off with a wonderfully relaxing salt cave session, at The Salt Cave, Center for Healing, fully intending to enjoy mocktails next door at the Outlaw Saloon. BUT…

The cocktails were too delicious, and before we knew it, we’d won trivia and ended up sponsoring the Tailgate Time Machine band’s next gig on Jan 29! Come join us!

We started off totally zen and somehow ended the night buzzing with excitement! Relaxation, laughter, and a little unexpected fun. A pretty perfect evening!

🍪✨ Cookie Exchange & Ugly Sweater Fun! ✨🍪

The Women’s Club had a fantastic time at our Great Holiday Cookie Exchange, complete with delicious homemade treats, favorite recipes, and some truly spectacular ugly sweaters! 😄🎄 Thank you to everyone who baked, participated, and showed up in festive style. Special thanks to Darshana for hosting! Our recipes will be posted shortly in this post. It was a sweet and cozy way to celebrate the season together! 💕

2025 Poetry & Essay Winners!

🎉📚 Congratulations to the Winners of Our Poetry & Essay Contest! 📚🎉

We are thrilled to announce the 12 outstanding students who were selected as this year’s Poetry & Essay Contest winners! Big congratulations to Isabella, Victoria, Ajun, Reya, Essa, Solema, Samantha, Aushmi, Harrison, Hannah, Anshi, and Justin!

With this year’s topic being “What was the best gift you ever gave someone?”, our young writers shared heartfelt, thoughtful, and sometimes funny stories about the joy of giving and their creativity truly impressed us.

We were also thrilled to recognize Victoria and Ajun, whose entries from last year went on to win at the State Federation level! We also had 3 other State winners: Leah, Lucy and George!

We also want to extend a big thank-you to the parents, teachers, administrators, and our dedicated judging panel for supporting these young writers. And an extra-special thanks to Tamara, our contest chairwoman, for her tremendous work organizing this year’s contest.

We are so proud of our young authors! Keep writing, keep imagining, and keep shining! ✨📝

Thrift Shop Volunteering!

💚👚 Our Club members had a great volunteer day yesterday at the Community Thrift Shop in Midland Park!

Two hardworking shifts helped tag an amazing amount of donated clothing, with a little lunch break in between and even some fun shopping at the end. By the end, the huge pile of clothing behind us was all tagged and ready for pricing. A portion of the shop’s proceeds go back to charitable organizations like ours. This is a great fundraiser project for our Club.

If you donate items to the Community Thrift Shop, please ask them to mark your donation for our Club,#39 so we can continue supporting local causes together. Thank you to everyone who volunteered! 💚✨
