38th Poetry & Essay Contest Underway!

Exciting news!
As we officially kicked off this year’s Poetry & Essay Contest, we were thrilled to have last year’s National Contest Qualifiers with us! Ryaan and Rachel treated us to one final reading of their incredible stories. Ryaan was awarded a special recognition certificate, and Rachel proudly received her First Place winner certificate!
Congratulations to both of them!

This month’s meeting was extra special as we revived an old Club tradition – signing the Club tablecloth!
Our long-standing members, with 5+ years of dedication, were invited to add their names and become a lasting part of our Club’s legacy. We’re incredibly fortunate to have such a loyal and committed community. Here’s to many more years together! ![]()

Join us at the Woman’s Club of Upper Saddle River tent during USR Day! Come say hello, learn more about what we do, and discover how you can get involved in our community efforts. We can’t wait to meet you!

What do you do with a book set in Chicago and Boston? Why deep-dish pizza and lobster rolls for starters! Our bellies we full while we discussed our August book The Lie Maker. Many thanks to Annie for setting the theme with her delicious food!!!

Wow! Heartfelt thanks to all who contributed to our Back-to-School drive! We collected 18 backpacks and a so many supplies for the children who are victims of abuse at New Jersey Children’s Alliance. NJCA is the Federation’s State Special Project through 2026! Thank you for helping them have a great start to the school year!

That’s a wrap! Dropped off our last donation check this week! Did you know that nearly 65% of our fundraising goes back to our local community? The remaining portions of our funds are channeled towards charities dedicated to the welfare of women and children. ![]()

Thank you for being part of our journey and making a real difference. Your support means the world to us!

Our members embarked on an incredible journey with The Lioness book club review, traveling from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood to the wilds of Africa! Members enjoyed rooms beautifully decorated to reflect each theme: Hollywood, complete with glitter champagne from a champagne wall, a row of Oscars and the iconic sign, and a Safari room draped in flowing tent fabric and filled with wild animal decor! Even the food matched the theme, making it a truly immersive and unforgettable experience! Thank you Joan and Karen for a fantastic event!

Thanks to the generosity of our members at our 23rd annual June Baby Shower, we were able to collect and donate many needed items to The Center For Hope And Safety and The Lighthouse Pregnancy Resource Center. Among the items were 142 new outfits sized newborn to 5 T, 17 bags and boxes of diapers, 11 packs and boxes of wipes, and assorted other baby needs like towels, bibs, crib sheets, stuffed animals, pacifiers and sippy cups–even tiny shoes and socks!
We have had a very successful club year thanks to the energy, ideas, and dedication of our members, and we look forward to serving our greater community again in our upcoming 2024-2025 club year!
