Supporting our Community, Women and Children!

That’s a wrap! Dropped off our last donation check this week! Did you know that nearly 65% of our fundraising goes back to our local community? The remaining portions of our funds are channeled towards charities dedicated to the welfare of women and children. 💪💕

Thank you for being part of our journey and making a real difference. Your support means the world to us!

A Roaring Good Time at Book Club!

Our members embarked on an incredible journey with The Lioness book club review, traveling from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood to the wilds of Africa! Members enjoyed rooms beautifully decorated to reflect each theme: Hollywood, complete with glitter champagne from a champagne wall, a row of Oscars and the iconic sign, and a Safari room draped in flowing tent fabric and filled with wild animal decor! Even the food matched the theme, making it a truly immersive and unforgettable experience! Thank you Joan and Karen for a fantastic event!

Among the items were 142 new outfits sized newborn to 5 T, 17 bags and boxes of diapers, 11 packs and boxes of wipes, and assorted other baby needs like towels, bibs, crib sheets, stuffed animals, pacifiers and sippy cups–even tiny shoes and socks!

We have had a very successful club year thanks to the energy, ideas, and dedication of our members, and we look forward to serving our greater community again in our upcoming 2024-2025 club year!

Annual Baby Shower and Meet and Greet

We finished off our year with our 23rd annual Baby Shower to benefit moms and babies in need. On a lovely early summer evening, we celebrated with a smorgasbord of food prepared by members at Anona Lake Pavilion in town. We also welcomed prospective members to join us, meet our members, and learn about our club. Thanks to the generosity of our members who donated new baby clothes, diapers, wipes, and other assorted baby items, we will deliver donated items to the Center for Hope and Safety and the Lighthouse Pregnancy Resource Center.

We have had a very successful club year thanks to the energy and dedication of our members who make our club so special. We look forward to new friendships and serving our greater community together in 2024-2025!

Foodie Walking Tour

On a beautiful Spring day, members traveled to Nyack, New York for a Foodie Walkng Tour of Nyack’s famous eateries. Along the way, they sampled delicious scones, tasty cheeses, and a vast sampling of Ukrainian food. Topping off the afternoon was an ice cream stop!

Line Dancing

Members spent an evening line dancing in Mahwah–and we have caught the bug! We plan to continue and we’ve spread the word to invite other members to grab their boots and join us next time. We had so much fun being a little bit country!

Summer Beverage Workshop

Members gathered at Darshana’s home to learn new recipes for summer drinks. It was lovely evening trying different flavor variations. Fan favorites were the orange-basil granita, the frozen mock coffee martini, and the rose milk strawberry trifle. So many yummy recipes!

Palisades Hike

Did you know that the Women’s Clubs of New Jersey helped to save the Palisades?

Members enjoyed scenic views and beautiful weather as they hiked along the Women’s Heritage trail atop the Palisades. The area is important in the New Jersey Women’s Club Federation’s history. In the 19th Century the New Jersey Woman’s Clubs banded together to legislate the end of quarrying on the cliffs and the preservation of the Palisades. The Women’s Clubs assisted with the funding to preserve the cliffs, parkland, and shore that we now know as a 12-mile-long swath of nature with over 30 miles of trails along the shore of the Hudson River.

Members hiked to the Women’s Federation Monument that was dedicated on April 30, 1929 which commemorates the efforts of the New Jersey Women’s Clubs to preserve this valuable resource for the future.
