Blizzard Bag Project

We have completed our first Blizzard Bag Project!

Thanks to generous donations from Inserra Shop Rite in Ramsey, and the help of members and Girl Scout Volunteers, we assembled and packed emergency food ingredients in 50 Blizzard Bags. We filled three members’ cars with bags to be delivered to homebound seniors in town by Meals on Wheels, our Police, Ambulance Corps, and Fire Department as they see need. We hope that, through our efforts, these seniors will feel more secure during winter weather.

Congratulations Graduates!

As June comes to a close, we congratulate the children of our members who have graduated from Elementary School, High School, and College in the past weeks. We wish them all the best as they set their sights on new horizons!
Congratulations also to our Woman’s Club Graduation Award recipients at our local schools–for Academic Excellence at Northern Highlands High School, and for excellent contributions to The Cardinal Newspaper and The Yearbook at Cavallini Middle School. We were proud to be able to recognize your accomplishments!

USR CARES Bake Sale

Come to the USR Fire House on Saturday, February 11th from 10:00-2:00 and help us welcome an important new organization to town.  Along with other clubs and service groups, The Woman’s Club welcomes USR CARES, and applauds its mission to expand the safety net for residents of town who are faced with a catastrophic event or illness.

The kick-off Bake Sale on Saturday  will be held in memory of Denise Casalino. Come purchase a sweet treat and help us welcome  and support USR CARES!

Warm Weather Clothing Delivered to Oasis in Paterson

The mission of Oasis is to change the lives of women and children by breaking the cycle of poverty through compassionate programs designed to feed, clothe, educate, and empower women and children in need.

A big thank you to our members and the others in our Community who thoughtfully donated new hats, gloves and scarves and gently used winter coats for the ladies at the Oasis Shelter.  Thanks also to Kathryn Hamilton who drove a carload to the shelter!

Our Club was happy to present both the Upper Saddle River and Allendale Ambulance Corps with the proceeds of our November Fashion Show Fundraiser at Neiman Marcus. Checks representing our ticket sales, the generous donation made by Haute Hippie, the Fashion House that sponsored our show, as well as individual donations from attendees were presented by our President, Nona Maher, and our Fundraising Chairs, Jeanine Matthews and Desire Cinotti. Diana Nash, also a Fund Raising Chair, was not able to be present. The members of our club recognize the unselfish time commitment made by the unsung heroes  of the Ambulance Corps who are always ready to help when there is a need. We are proud to support them!

Keep Others Warm Drive for Oasis

This December, our members are collecting new hats, gloves and scarves and gently used winter coats to keep those who are in need at Oasis warm this winter. We are reaching out to the community as well in our effort to make a difference. Drop off points are Bergen Highlands Methodist Church and the box at the Post Office. We thank everyone who has participated!
