USR CARES Oktoberfest

Along with other town organizations, we supported USR CARES in the steady mist yesterday in Lions Park. Our face painter, Kellianne, was a bit hit, and we gave out pretzel packs and information about our club. We donated a wine themed raffle basket to the silent auction. It was a great community day!

Trip to Broadway
Twenty nine of us headed into the city last night. We enjoyed a pre-theater dinner together and saw the new Broadway Show, Summer. It was great night with great friends! Thanks to Kathie, Robyn and Christine for organizing!

Annual Membership Meet And Greet
We welcomed four new members at our annual Meet and Greet Dessert Reception on April 3rd at the Bishop House in Saddle River. We mingled and chatted while enjoying refreshments, and then had a short business meeting to explain our club and all the upcoming events and activities planned for the Spring. Thanks to Nancy for organizing the evening!
Meet and Greet Dessert Reception
Are you looking forward to meeting new friends and getting more involved in our community? Then consider joining the Woman’s Club of USR. Come to our Meet and Greet Dessert Reception on Tuesday, April 3rd at 7:00pm at The Bishop House in Saddle River (across from the Post Office).
Our club has been serving the community since 1954, and draws members from USR and surrounding towns. Our focus is on volunteerism and social outreach. We plan socials and trips to promote friendships, and we mix in an occasional fundraiser to be able to support our local service organizations, fund graduation scholarships, and benefit various charitable causes. Come and learn about us on April 3rd! We hope to see you there!
Together we can make a difference!
Dessert Reception Hosted At Cavallini School Play
The Woman’s Club hosted a dessert reception for senior citizens prior to the Cavallini School Theater Club performance of The Addams Family. The performance had been re-scheduled due to yesterday’s snow storm, but the show went on thanks to today’s sunshine and melting snow. Club members baked, served, and shared the anticipation of family members and friends who were excited to see the children perform.

Blizzard Bag Project
We have completed our first Blizzard Bag Project!
Thanks to generous donations from Inserra Shop Rite in Ramsey, and the help of members and Girl Scout Volunteers, we assembled and packed emergency food ingredients in 50 Blizzard Bags. We filled three members’ cars with bags to be delivered to homebound seniors in town by Meals on Wheels, our Police, Ambulance Corps, and Fire Department as they see need. We hope that, through our efforts, these seniors will feel more secure during winter weather.
