The Woman’s Club had a wonderful day exploring the beautifully decorated Victorian Christmas at Ringwood Manor! It was truly a magical and festive experience!
What a magical holiday dinner! The Women’s Club gathered to celebrate the season and the incredible bonds we share with joy, laughter and the spirit of giving. Many thanks to Del Pino’s for giving us a delicious holiday dinner!
In the true spirit of giving, we also joined hands to make a difference in the lives of others. Our generous members came together to collect toys in support of the The Saddle River Valley Junior Woman’s Club Toy Drive, spreading smiles and holiday cheer to those who need it most. Thank you to everyone who contributed!
Wishing our amazing group of women a season filled with love, laughter, and the magic of the holidays!
We had a very special member at our Poetry and Essay Awards Night! Barbara Ostrom, who will be celebrating an incredible 40 years with our Club this May, joined us for the evening. We took a moment to honor her milestone and had her sign our legacy Club tablecloth—such a special memory to cherish!
We had an amazing time celebrating at our 38th Annual Poetry & Essay Awards Night! With so many incredible submissions, our judges had their work cut out for them—especially with the hilariously heartwarming topic, “What happened to you that still makes you laugh when you remember it?”
The winning students blew us away as they read their essays and poems to a full house of families, teachers, school administrators, and our members. A big congratulations to all our talented winners: Victoria, Arjun, Leah, Anshi, Michelle, Lucy, Tyler, George, Jackson and Vihaan!
Want to read the winning entries? For a limited time only, they’ll be on display at our library—don’t miss out!
November was a creative and relaxing month at the Woman’s Club! Our NeuroArt class, led by the talented Lana Stovbun, gave us the perfect opportunity to let our thoughts wander and de-stress while creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind art. A big thank you to Lana for guiding us through this mindful journey!
For October’s spooky season, the Women’s Club had a fantastic day diving into the eerie world of Edgar Allan Poe! Members explored Poe Cottage in the Bronx, where the legendary author spent his final days seeking fresh air and inspiration in what was then the countryside.
After an insightful tour of his home, no Bronx visit would be complete without a trip to Arthur Avenue! Members wrapped up the day with a delicious meal, enjoying great food and even better company.
Here’s to more unique adventures and celebrating literary legends together!
As we officially kicked off this year’s Poetry & Essay Contest, we were thrilled to have last year’s National Contest Qualifiers with us! Ryaan and Rachel treated us to one final reading of their incredible stories. Ryaan was awarded a special recognition certificate, and Rachel proudly received her First Place winner certificate!
This month’s meeting was extra special as we revived an old Club tradition – signing the Club tablecloth! Our long-standing members, with 5+ years of dedication, were invited to add their names and become a lasting part of our Club’s legacy. We’re incredibly fortunate to have such a loyal and committed community. Here’s to many more years together!
